Following the successful introduction of Ratabase, the RAC are now able to provide Brokers with the ability to insure mixed fleets of private and commercial vehicles. As the world-leading rating solution in the insurance industry, Ratabase, the leading insurance rating software developed by CGI in the UK,offers a combination of powerful functionality and ease of doing business that allows insurers to be agile and able to pivot as the market changes.
Deploying Ratabase means that the RAC is the only breakdown insurer which can offer real time fleet & specialist vehicle breakdown insurance using multiple rating factors. This new risk-rating will allow RAC Brokers to provide more accurate breakdown products specific to their customers’ requirements.
Adam Culley, Head of Insurance Partners at the RAC, said “We have been working closely with CGI for the last five years and are excited about the new opportunities Ratabase will provide to our organisation. It’s allowed us to expand the range of breakdown solutions for Brokers at the click of a button. The RAC can now provide Brokers with a complete range of vehicle types and cover levels from mopeds to the largest HGV all under one policy.
Juliette Lockstone, Vice President and Head of Insurance – UK Financial Services at CGI, said: “Ratabase will allow the RAC to bring in as many risk factors as possible, allowing them to offer an accurately priced offering to the businesses who rely on them for their breakdown cover. Development was a unique experience as we delivered the project under lockdown with both teams working incredibly hard to achieve the results needed.”
With many businesses navigating uncertain times, the new solution will provide better value services to ensure they have properly tailored breakdown cover.
